Samsung Galaxy SIII Review (GT-I9300)
The Samsung Galaxy SIII (GT-I9300) is possibly one of the best Android smartphones on the market at the moment and the latest smartphone in the Samsung Galaxy S Series. Rivaling the Apple iPhone 5 and packing a powerful feature-set (outlined below), the Galaxy SIII is surely one for your Christmas list this year (If you don’t already have one, that is)!
The Device features a huge 4.8-Inch HD Super AMOLED Plus screen, seated behind tough and durable Gorilla Glass with a design not too dissimilar from that of the Galaxy Nexus.
In terms of the device’s hardware, it has a range of awesome features that can compete with almost all phones on the market. Here’s just some of the tech-specs which make this beautiful smartphone handset into a mobile supercomputer:
- Samsung Exynos 4 Quad SoC
- CPU: 1.4 GHz Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A9
- GPU: ARM Mali-400 MP4
- RAM: 1GB
- 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB Storage with optional Micro-SD Expansion
- 8MP Rear-Facing Camera (1080p Video) with LED Flash
- 1.9MP Front-Facing Camera
- NFC – Contactless Payment Support
- GPS and GLONASS positioning with navigation support
- LTE (4G) Models Available
- Wireless A/B/G/N (WiFi)
- Bluetooth 4.0
- Wireless Charging Capable
All of that hardware in a device which weighs just over 130g (133g, 4.7oz) and that is just 8.6mm thick! (Super Light, Super Slim!)
The Galaxy SIII is a great device, running the latest Android 4.1.1 “Jellybean” OS, the smartphone’s software is complimentary to the powerful array of hardware on board. Featuring Samsung’s latest TouchWiz user interface, Nature UX, the device not only looks beautiful, but acts elegantly too. Having sold over 30 Million of these handsets in just 5 months, Samsung have created a phone which is excellent in all ways – Something which iPhone creator Apple aren’t to happy about, filing a lawsuit against the S3 on the 31st August 2012.
Samsung have since continued the development of the phone later to release a smaller model, namely the Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini.

Note: It’s not literally a mobile supercomputer, but performs like one. Maybe the Galaxy S4 will be…
